hi guys,

I bought my sedan as a unfinished project - and the guys has told me that the turbo that came with it is a brand new T3.

Issue is that i can't find any info on it, it's oil cooled, but is it a bb turbo? what is it rated to? All it has is NISSAN stamped on the side.

Any ideas, or atleast an equivilent product on the market so i can find specs on that?

Thanks

from memory i think the T3 came on the R33 skyline. im not sure though.

people have used them on our little datsun engines before with much success.
however what ihave gathered is that they are fairly laggy because of the smaller engine capacity.
as for flow ratings and that you best go to a performance garage and look at the compressor map for it.

i do know that the skyline turbos were oil cooled so if i am right in saying its of a liner then it will be oiled cooled.
as for A/R ratio im not sure. im suprised google didnt tell you anything.

at a rough guess. that turbo on an A15 with about 10psi will prob giv you 150kW

10psi on an RB25 will be making about 150rwkw. I hardly think the A15 head will flow the same as the RB so that's a bit optimistic.

Also the R33 turbo is a ball bearing core, and is not even a T3 turbo. It's a Hitachi turbo with a T3 flange and is water cooled. If your turbo doesn't have water fittings then it's not from a r32/33 skyline.

if the dattos got a CA in it then use a T28 unit off the latest SR20.
ball bearing etc etc. and will give better response than the T3, but more power than the T25 that came on CAs.

but the T3 will go alright on a CA
