Getting bored very fast with my twin webers and just looking at my options, was thinking of going fuel injected and might as well get full use out of the ecu. so i was wondering if anyone has modified a a series crank for a crank angle sensor or know of any links to such info????i know i saw someone did it ages ago but i cant find the post.

why? you dont need one to run ECU. use the distributor to get your timing from.

i know i could run the ecu fuel only but i'd like to have it run the timing as well using a waste spark setup, reason for this is easy of tunning, automaticly adjusted for changes in temp alltitude mabey even boost etc...

There's nothing 'bolt on' available as far as a CAS is concerned, but to make one is relatively simple.

A mild steel toothed wheel fitted to your main pulley (custom lasercut - cheaper than you think) and an inductive pickup is easily rigged up.

Have a look around the Megasquirt and Megajolt websites - there's a buttload of info there.

i dont think he was refering to the distributor as being used in the normal sense. i run an ems stinger, which is 3d operation and i dont have the cas on the crank. the distributor is modified to become a cas. some discs with slots and led lights is your starting point.

hey y dont you get a front pully made up and go the haltech way with magnets in the pully and sensor mounted on motor (hall effect sensor) you will be able to run full sequential injection and ignition with it and it just so happens i have a complete set up for sale....pm me for extra details...
