I'm about to throw the 63A box in behind my blown A15. It's a hell of a lot bigger than the 60 box I took out. Who else has done this swap? Am I going to have to remove the original mounting pads from the tunnel?

I did'nt do this swap myself but have read of the other members doing it.
As far as I can remember B120dat did this conversion.
You will have to remove those mounting pads in the tunnel to get better clearance.
You will have to make a custom gearbox X member to bolt the gearbox in.
And the gearbox crossmember needs to be bolted to the floor on each side.
Hope it is right and helps.
The other members will confirm.

is it hydrolic or clutch cable?

Yep 1200gxman is right. All you need to do is take the orginal mounts off which is a fun job, grind down the welds as much as possible then hammer and chisel them off. The box fits in fine. It is a little bit tight, getting oil in is abit of a pain but garden hose down the bay and squezzing the hose in works everytime. Also the reverse swtich i took off like on my old 60a box because it sticks out to far.

But other than those small things they go in no trouble.

If you want ideas on the gearbox xmemba and pic of it in have a look in my photo album, there is alot of pics of the install on there.

Does anyone know if the 63 fork would be the same as a 4spd 910 one? Thats all I have. It fits, but the pushrod from the slave to the fork isn't parralle to the gearbox. Not a long way off though.
Is this gonna matter?

quite a bit to fitting these babies...

the hardest part is the hydraulic clutch and the tailshaft.
Tailshaft is an auto stanza front and then it must be cut and re welded to fit the diff you have.

I used a bluebird series 2-3 clutch pedal assy with the master cylinder etc and did it that way cause I use a big 240Z brake master cyl assy. I know B120DAT used the 1200 clutch pedal and then used a master cylinder on the other side of the firewall to mate to it. I think thats a good method but i couldnt do this as it was a big effort to swap my brake m/c (which runs wilwood brakes).

Yes Craig is right about my method. Sorry I thought you just wanted to know about the gearbox itself going in. The Hydro clutch install is the worst part. I used a 180b clutch clyinder lined it up with the clutch pedal (which was right next to the brake master in the thickest part to aviodf flex), then I just shortened the linkage on the clyinder to fit perfect to the stock pedal. Works perfect, I didnt wanna piss around with other pedal's etc

The hydraulic conversion is going to be easy. I hydro converted my old kb310, and that had a booster in the way too.
At present my only concern is the push rod to the fork not being perfectly parralle to the gearbox.
B120, is your pushrod in line with the motor?

I may have tracked down the right fork, but I haven't sealed the deal yet.

im using a 63a (at last) behind my warm a15. its eaten quite a few 56 and 56a gearboxs in little time. ive learnt so much from this website its assome.

this is exactly how we got the royal purple in the gearbox. squeeze!
the reverse switch, i just drilled a hole in my tunnel and it kinda pokes in a few mm's. its completely covered by the underlay then carpet. probably a firehazard.
bits used:
180b master/slave cylinder, datrats firewall bracket for clutch and brake masters, jeff taylor oversize clutch kit, custom tailshaft stanza to stock 1200 diff, datrats L series gerbox mount, stanza speedo cable (i hope it fits), NOS gearknob.
goes like a dream, cruze at 120k/h @ 2500rpm in 5th gear.

For the tailshaft, it uses the Automatic yoke. A stock B210 auto tailshaft fits the B210 diff, and I think will fit B110 for the same diff type.
