what is an easy engine swap for the datsun 1200.
i need something that wont require too much modification of the car
any suggestions?

CA18det is fairly straight forward. or you could upgrade the A series a bit.

An A15 will give it more go and is a virtual bolt in drive away.

but you need a diff. cross member for a ca18det.

i guess depends on what power output u looking for...i could be wrong tho

we were originaly shooting for SR20DET, but my dad said he doesnt want me to kill myself (bummer) so we need an engine that is not too fast

instead of the sr20det y not go sr20 de? just have it naturally aspirated, or oyu can go the ca18det n still have turbo?

but if you want something to bolt straight in not fiddle around to get a dif. cross member go an A-series engine. as foar as i know the ca18det is just a step down from the sr20det.
