Hey all. Would someone be so kind as to tell me the name of the piece of body work that sits between the windscreen and the bonnet ?
First one with the right name gets..... err... well you get nothin but glory.

Thats a curly one. The cavity in front of the windscreen seems to be widely known as the plenum chamber, but the whole section of body from the firewall back to the windscreen pillars & down to the floor is always refered to by me [rightly or wrongly] as the cowl. The term 'scuttle' is a British word for the same thing I believe.

I guess that 'scuttle panel' or 'cowl panel' would be as good as you will get. I wonder what my parts books call it.

[5 minutes later]
OK, in both my 1000, & 1200 parts books, that panel, as a spare part, is refered to as "Panel- Cowl Top"

Being that everyone in this thread thus far is in Australia. We would use the Australian term and not try and be American.
The Australian term for this body panel is "scuttle panel" as it is refered to in workshop manual #87 produced in Australia by scientific publications.
