It would appear that there are 19 members of this site who are buying TnPs exhaust flanges, I am guessing this is because they want to get turbo manifolds made up.

Kegs paid liverpool exhaust $700 to make his up,and its a pretty good job.

Surely with the volume we are wanting we could approach a company that makes these sort of manifolds and get them to design and produce the manifolds at a greatly reduced rate, with us supplying the flanges.

I am thinking in the $300 range would be good, and at that price we would probably get even more takers.

I am going to do some research on this next week.

What do you guys think? Anyone interested?

Anyone got any contacts in the industry?

Make mine to suit T2 flange please
Definatly 1 maybe 2

Now which of those 2 is a better design ?
I like the 2nd for neatness and inlet manifold clearnace
But unsure of other clearances in the 1000 engine bay

yep I like the idea
with TNPshow manifold flanges it would be easy for a good welder to do this. the only things is that we would need to standardise the turbo type...or do the turbo of a particular brand have the same impeller and compressor mountings? ie with a T25 fit onto a T28 flange etc etc. I there are kits you can but that would be able to upgrade a turbo style that would be something to consider too.
Lets see if we can get a kit that would be able to turbo charge an A12 for under $1000.
That would give you a very basic setup which you could use to expand on later.
ie induction and exhaust manifolds (to bolt to a standardised turbo setup) and adapter for a suck through carb like an SU.
Would there be any takers???
The would be lots of turbo 120Ys etc on the streets in no time.

I like the second one,
again not sure on the clearance for the 1000..

the first has external gate.. I don't really need that..

i think this an excelent idea. a set up like this would work alot more effective then the the setup we are using on our race car now that uses a standard exhaust manifold and a j-pipe going under the engine mount (ex tyrie setup..) so i would be very interested in getting a couple.

Something has occoured to me. If everyone starts turbing their Aseries, Then there will all of a suddden be a huge damand for forged pistons too. Then by economy of scale, they'll get cheaper too. Look how cheap chev stuff is.

Ok so a cheep reliable set up is what your after could someone drag a pic from my folder of the tubo set up i had for the 120y .this was very well made with a 1 piece flange and very light gauge pie which would be cheeper than steam pipe .the intake runners are 1 piece = less weld time better flow ,If your after a 1 piece flange ring shape cut in QLD and ask for a datsun 1400 turbo flange they have it on file , cheers

Light gauge pipe might be cheaper, but it will be more inclined to fail. If your making a manifold, a needs to be built to last.
