there are 2 types of A series motors, known as early and late. the difference being the engine mounts.

the engine mounts on the later motors sit 40mm further back than the early ones so measure that up before you start.

if theyre different then you will have to get a crossmember from a later model 1200.

and i think they changed the engine mounts around 73-74

What you need is either new engine brackets, made up to a pattern 1200Rallycar posted on here a fair few years ago (go to the photoalbum, click on 1200rallycars album, then browse through til you see it), or you could find the engine crossmember from a 1200 ute with the 120y style engine, & the A14/15 will drop right onto it, with 120y engine brackets.
Again there are comparison photos on this site showing you the differences. If you're really desparate, you could try ordering one from a Nissan dealer to see if they're still available. That'd be the expensive way, but.

With the gearbox, there isn't any other way than making a U shaped piece that goes between the mounting holes & the gearbox. I posted a couple of photos of such a beast once, so just click on 'more photos from B310GX' & scan through.
Also, don't fail to look in the technical section, it takes photos like the ones 1200rally & i posted & puts them into articles so the new people can benefit from this. The days when you could wander through a wrecking yard & find something that might work are past, with most cars being frontwheel drive & the older cars disappearing from the lines.

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.
