Hey guys,

With the freezing night time weather we have been having here in sydney lately and having never owned a datto before in these conditions, i have a question.

Does anyone else experience on these cold days and nights a distinct chugging low in each gear, especially 4th. Just noticed it in the last week. Thought it may have been my timing but fixed that up and it's still doing it. Also noticed the temp gauge doesn't seem to be getting past the quarter way mark wheras before it was sitting just below the halfway mark. Obviously does it worse just on start up but even after driving around for 10-15 mins, it still seems to be struggling a bit to cruise at low revs. Almost like it's being straved a bit for juice.

What do you guys think? Would it just be the cooler weather or should i check the thermostat and fuel lines? If so how do you check the thermostat? Where is it located?

Cheers
Trav

The very best thing you can spend a few dollars on is a Gregories Workshop manual for your model.
These things will show you in pictures where things are, how to remove & replace, & provide a diagnosis.
Best thing you will ever buy for your car. [& yourself]
