just wondering how hard it is to remove the truck bed of the tray
mine is in pretty bad condition and looks like absolute dogs cock so yeh...
is it a angle grinder job or whats the deal?

from what it looks like (havent done it myself) you need a grinder and a spot weld remover drill bit. but before you start cutting and drilling you should remove your fuel tank last time i checked my skin doesnt like explosions and fire hehe

mate i have just fully removed mine to put a full sheet floor in.. and yeah rallyuted is dead right.. the only other thing u need is patients!!! it takes a long time ta do and just be carefull not to drill too far or u will have some extra welding ta do

You eill definately have to remove the tank as it has a bracket that is spot welded to the floor.. so u will have ta remove the tank altogether or make up a new bracket once the floor is finished..

Its not a hard job if u have the time, ill take some snaps of mine tomorro and post them up

yep sure am mate.. have a few connections round town ta get the tubs made so why not haha.. its not a hard thing ta do but takes a fair amount of time.. Il have some pics by the end of the weekend man..

i made new mud guards out of checker plate.

a 6x4 sheet of iron is a bit to narrow and a bit long but a bit of a trim lengthwise and a little bit of off cut down 1 side and u have a schmick looking tray.

i did this for the hell of it (my tray wasnt in such bad nick) but it looks better now...

Just as a bit of a guide for anyone interested.. i got a 2400x1500mm sheet of 1.6mm and had it cut to size (1280x1700mm ) then u have enough of fcuts to make ur tubs.. all up the steel cost me $80 cut
