Saw this on carsales earlier today.

This would have to be one of the most expensive 1200's advertised in australia...

What do you guys reckon, fair price or dreaming?

Just interested what people think (Although I'm pretty sure I know what the responses will be!)

Probly spent more than that on it....i have seen more attention to detail in other conversion than this. Its only worth what people pay for it.

Hmm bit pricey. I wouldn't have gone with those Autotechnica seats personally..

I would sooner pay 25K for Dattodudes sedan.

For 25k I would be wanting a detailed engine bay. speedflow fittings etc.....

Yeah you're right Benny, i'd want want braided lines, instead of rubber lines sitting on exhaust manifolds. A fire waiting to happen.

i woudl want complete new suspension all round everything, coil overs (konis etc), Good diff install LSD, big Hp CA with all the timmings etc... I mean Andy had his 220kw+ coupe for 19k mark at one stage, spending 5 or 6 on that for paint and other bits and your ####ting all over this. Well i would prefer Andys as it was over it but that me

You have to realise that some people pay someone to do everything for them. AND they get reamed every time they get something done. Thats probably why he wants so much, because he thinks that is what it would cost to replace. A lot of these feature cars in magazines are built by someone who gets payed by the owner who has no idea.
If you really want to see a dreamer, check out ebay at the moment. there is a 1200 ute with an A12 with twin su's on it with a rough paint job in the engine bay and he reckons he's spent something like 30 grand on it! His buy it now is 20 grand!! I have no idea how you spend 30 grand on what is essentially a stock 1200 ute with a paint job and mags. He must have used 50 dollar bills as sound deadener on the floor of the cab, OR more likely he has paid someone to do everything and they have jumped at the opportunity to make a fortune off him.
