Well, it's been 3 years of blood (mine), sweat (mine) & tears (my wife's) but at approx. 11am this morning my CA18 / 1200 ute was legally registered.

More or less on budget (approx. 12K).

Waaaaaaaaaaay over time - I originally forecast 6 weeks (that was before getting carried away with paint & panel though).

I've kept all my receipts & plan someday to post all the details including costs of the conversion.

Special thanks go to Kev Rowley.
The man is a gentleman & a scholar. The advice he's provided me with has saved me coutless hours & $$$....... I would have had to spend a lot of time at the school of trial & error otherwise.

Thanks to Cable_tie, OAN_878, Tappet, pager & Datto7 for the bits & pieces.
And everyone else that helped with advice & opinions over the past 3 years.

Most of all though I have to thank my wife for the understanding that allowed me to sink large amounts & money & time into a car (ute) that wasn't even driveable.

Happy days .

QPDC guys.... I"ll see you at the next meet.

Good on ya Coops, hopefully it will bring you many years of joy and happiness!

My project has been going for 14months and its in the final stages now, was meant to be off the road for 3months and return as a daily driver not a racecar.

well done coops

i remember that feeling, the first legal drive in your 1200 with converted engine that you did yourself!

gives you a similar feeling to the first time you start your new engine

enjoy it mate
you deserve it
