Did any one ever find out what the paint code is for the factory engine colour on Datsuns?

I would rather have my block rusty and covered in oil than paint it chev blue. Take a block into RJ pattersons and get them to colour match it for you.

There are different shades of blue in different years. The 1971-1973 1200s used a turquois color that is reportedly close to Chrysler Blue. For pictures and more details, see wiki - engine color

Ah good. If you find out more, please add to the wiki article. I'm not too sure of the color mix listed there. But the pictures are pretty conclusive about the two engine colors.
