Do you have the original type pump, with a bolted on cover and body?

The fuel pump has no oil feed, and is not under oil pressure -- it is open to the crankcase. So any oil leak is normally with the gasket.

Is your PCV valve plugged? That can cause excessive pressure inside the crankcase and it will come out somewhere.

this is very common on L series with the standard fuel pump. makes a good old mess. you need to re-kit the pump or get a replacement. personally, I'd buy a cheap electric pump and blank off the block where the mechanical fuel pump was.

I don't know how much they would cost in Portugal, but over here in Aus you can get them for about $60. A replacement standard pump would be a similar amount, or a kit to rebuild the one you've got would be $20-$30.

Same here in USA: electric pump is about $50 USD, as is standard pump.

But the standard pump only lasts 15-30 years ...

But with electric fuel pump, you should get a safety shutoff switch, in case of accident it stops the pump so it doesn't keep putting fuel over the road. Buy a low-pressure pump so that you don't need to buy a regulator. Or get one from a Subaru or Honda.

2-4 bars is 14-28 psi. Too much, a carburetor only wants about 3.5 psi. You can use a regulator with them, but then that is extra cost.
