As some know i am currently on the hunt 4 a new daily driver, now i must be cursed as i am up 2 my 8th car. lol. several have been shocking. EG, all 4 tryes down to steel belts, no oil, etc i even stumbled across a rebirthed impreza, and all of these cars ahve been between 2001 to 2004. And all have been either subaru rx imprezas, rx liberty wagon or non turbo forester. The last one i looked at a subaru forester. came back as a repairable write off. Now wat is the go with this. the forester was heaps good, and visually looked in good nick, and a mechanic mate said all mechanically was good. and is wat i am after, lowered 18's stereo, just 2 get round in. but i dont think im game 2 touch it as it has been classifieds as a repairable write off upon doing a revs check. can anybody give me a heads up as to wat do to here, leave it and run or do a bit more checkin on it. its for sale for 16k, so dont wanna waste my money been an apprentice....., cheers guys, thanks

repairable write off just means it was cheaper to paysome one out then fixing it. so them might have got 20K payout and it was 15k to repair it.
depends where it was hit or if it was water damage from floods etc. could have had vandelism and needed new paint who knows.

Id pass and find something with less damage. for a non turbo foz with mods, sounds exe for 2001 ish.

Can get a gt like some of us for 20k.

Stop looking for bargains. There ain't no such thing. Unless you get a magna/corolla from the government auctions, where the car was only used for meals on wheels or something.

nothing wrong with auto gt's... they have boost form 1900rpm always... (onlypart is fuel consuption on boost always)

autos are stronger than the manuals, but less fun
