Pictures on track: Streets Of Willow at WSIR. Picture in paddock: Buttonwillow. And, yes, somewhat 'wide-body'. All four corners +hood + doors are fibreglas. It's not a tube-frame, it's one of those old 'tub' cars that were grandfathered in to the GT program. As to the front tower bracing comment, In GT you are allowed to penetrate the firewall. the whole front upper rad support is box-framed. The whole frame is box-framed.

It's a fun car. I also own a 944-SPEC car and so it doesn't get driven as much as it would like. Hopefully selling the porch soon, and it will be my sole race car and it will be happy. It is the first car i have ever owned with a solid axle--that's kinda interesting to drive!!! It is also the first car i have ever owned with a pushrod motor. It was very deglected when I came to me, but as you can see it cleaned up nicely. that motor is just a barely-warmed-up A12 I built to 'get to know' the car. Of the several motors that came with it, there is a blown GT motor I am currently building for next year. I have been having a horrible time with oil leaking at the front cover where the cast iron meets the AL meets the steel meets the cork meets the rubber. I think I am just goint to glue the pan on next time. Other than that, the car was pretty well sorted after only a couple races. but I have built several race cars and can kinda 'anticipate' issues.
