Well this has been a very very big day indeed. After all the dramas of the conversion we are 99% there.
This is a stock S13 Silvia engine with the following mods:-
(Remember they came out of the factory with about 105 kw??? at the fly)
EFI hardware quad throttle bodies with bosch 330cc injectors
Autronic SMC
Vortex 98 pump fuel
HKS adjustable cam gears
Stock cams
stock valve springs in fact rest of head is stock. No porting or polishing all stock.
Stock compression
Stock pistons
stock bottom end
oil cooler
HKS copy winged and baffled sump
Nismo lightened flywheel and HKS clutch kit
SR20 custom extractors
2 1/2 inch mild steel exhaust to side pipe

thats about it....

this was a rough shakedown tune by Yavus at Unigroup still more to go ( i dont think much more peak) but Yavus needs to put more fuelling points into the map for better throttle response.

anyway 144.9rwhp is what a stock SR20DE will do with boltons.
Right out of the box first run with and very rough map it did 139.6rwhp.
At the moment its 5hp more than i could have hoped for.

dyno 1

This second video I dont know if you can see properly shows the injector spray at WOT.

dyno 2

Oh by the way my ears are still ringing....almost started bleeding but it was a good bleed if you know what I mean.

thats 107kw? I would have expected more considering the throttles/ecu. Do you think there's much more in it?

My opinon (not sure if its correct but) is that quads are the icing on the cake so to speak an the bigger the cake the thicker the icing ie. more mods (high comp, cam etc) the more ITB's will prove their worth.

That sounds like a decent amount of rwkw. I recently had my SR20de 1200 ute dyno'd and its putting out 96.5rwkw. This is with completely stock internals, just running extractors, 2.5 inch mild steel exhaust and a large pod filter. Also has an EMS computer.
At first I was disappointed with the result but it is running really rich and is going in for a tune up this saturday, we are hoping for around another 15kw after a decent tune up. Heres hoping....

I reckon you should be able to do some damage in your class with those numbers, and it's gonna be as reliable as the day is long, which is more important than anything else.Just don't bring it to Qld.ha ha

Tyrie, theres heaps more in it with pistons cams porting and valve springs. That alone would get me way over 200 reliable horsepower. At the moment I just want very reliable fun HP. The chassis on this car being ex-John Taylors car is sublime its entry and mid corner speeds is just go-kartish so HP as much as I like it is not be-all and end-all.
By the way the sound at WOT is just superb and boy is the induction loud!!!
Cant wait till i hear it on the track.
There is a video somewhere of an SR20 form I think a Nissan Primera which raced in the BTCC revving to 14 or 15k mated to a 6spd sequential FWD box. How good would that be! It sounded like a motorbike on roids!

don't worry mate, that's very good bhp. as much as the fully built 1995cc L18 I had in my coupe at the end. It will be a weapon even like that, and as you say, lots more potential with a built engine in future. Bet you're itching to get out ont he track again!
