i think my starter is fubar. i started the car to let it run for a little. i went o move it after a ouple of minutes and i stalled it. when i went to start it again, no budge. i even tried crossing the terminals on it but there wasn't a sound out of it. battery is fine plenty left in it. any sugestions? is there a starter from a more moddern nissan, ie a micra/march or something that will fit??? i was just going to start re-wiring the whole car today with a nice new fuse and relay panel i got but this has put the stoppers on it until i can get it started again. some one help! quick!

Sure, any start from B10, B110, B210 or B310 will work (except manual vs. automatic differs). See Starting Motor

Be sure to count the number of teeth on the starter gear, there are two different types, one has 8 teeth and the other has 9 teeth, the O.D. (outside diameter) also varies, from memory the 8t is 28mm and the 9t is 30mm.
