do ca18det run a single magnetic pick up??

i was told that my microtech ecu will run any single magnetic pic up motor? though im not sure what that means any help would help . . .please

NO. The CA18 runs an optical Crank angle sensor:
- 4 x cylinder pulses
- 360 x 1 degree pulses.


For the Autronic SMC I had to put a 5 hole replacement disc into the CAS.
The Autronic SM4 will work with a standard CA18 CAS.

Microtech application guide

So the LT8 will work.
The LTX8 will work if you switch to external coils.

The CA18 CAS shows as supported on the LT8 model:
