Making a strut brace for the 1200. Have made up the end plates. No probs there.

But the actual bar itself. What are the boofbars and simular bars made from? Is it alluminium, steel, stainless???

What should I use?

Cheers

I have made a strut brace for my sunny and I used two Falcon ute tonneau cover supports welded together (for thickness, not length). It's not like the boof bar as in it's not adjustable but I think it should do the job. I used the ute tonneau supports because they have a nice arch to them rather than having a straight bar. They are steel by the way.

Hi, I used an R32 Skyline aluminium bar.No doubt ex China but the quality is excellent and it bolted straight uo to the Boofhead end plates.

was actually supposed to be fr r33 front but were manufactured slightly shorter by mistake so were too short for the r33 fronts by about 30mm at full adjustment
