hi all heres the story, bought a ca18det motor and gearbox then got a dato 1200 ute that already had a ca in it but didn't come with the motor. the dato i brought run a ca18det with a standard ca box, anyway i started putting my engine and gear box in n was having difficulty putting the gearbox mount on then realised it must be a different gearbox. turns out it's a rb20det box that old mate sold me with the motor which is really annoying .

basically i gotta make a new gearbox mount and chop the tunnel out a bit, my question to you experts is does it have to sit level?? and with the tail shaft will it hit on the tunnel when the suspension is compressed if its mounted to high in the tunnel?? basically how do install the thing?? thanks for any help

yea i was thinking about that. i've got no problem cutting the tunnel an fabricating a new gearbox x member im just a bit worried the tail shaft is gonna sit to high in the tunnel n when the rear suspension is compressed it's gonna hit, should i be worried about this or will it be right? otherwise im just gonna have to get another box
