The US model 210 [B310] uses a slightly larger & heavier front suspension & is not a direct swap into the 1200.

Some suspension parts have been used to upgrade the brakes in 1200's, but all of the 210's [B310] used the same basic suspension, so to answer the question that you asked ...... {quote}wat year 210 has the "exact" bolt on front suspension as the 1200 {unquote}
None.

To further complicate things, the US model B210 [B210] that came with the A13 & A14 engines uses a heavier front suspension than the 1200 as well, while the same car sold in other markets with the A12 engine, & known as the 120Y, [still the B210 chassis] used the lighter front suspension that is based on the 1200 [but is not identical in all of the parts]

I will hit the parts books later to check but I now suspect that the heavier front suspension in the US model B210 might actually be sourced from the Japanese PB210 Excellent & that both the US model 210 [B310] & the Aussie Sunny [B310] may all share the same "Excellent" derived front end. I need access to a regular B310 parts book & hopefully a US model B210 parts book as well to [possibly] confirm.

Dodge,
If you want to throw up the Aussie part #'s
I can look up the US B210 #'s for comparison.

Thanks for the offer, I have the PB110 parts book as well as a PB210 parts book in a PDF file [thanks to Dd] & will send you the parts numbers for key components like strut tube, spring etc via E-mail within the next few days.

It has been nagging me for a while that the US B210 used a slightly heavier front end with slightly bigger brakes. It would not be an economic proposition to design a whole new front end just for the US market.
Then it occured to me a couple of nights back that the PB110 & PB210 used just such a front end, .... ie, slightly larger & heavier.
Now to put it to the test.
Thanks again

thanks Dodgeman and Kelmo - I have been rebuilding my July'74 120Y since july last year

it's all done bar brakes and bodywork

the front suspension and brakes are somthing I want bigger and better than standard - which it is as I'm using the Suspension out of my March '77 120Y

but I'd like something similar or better than the PB210 style front end as it al ready has a Borg Warner 68 put in it last Week by me as I intend to eventually put an L18 in it...
