You can modify your 120Y springs to make it fit but think of how much power you will drain turning the heavy bugger over.

The easiest way to tell is to measure the distance between the centring holes in the spring perch. I've been told that the distance is the same on 1200's & 120y's, as person i know put a 1200 ute diff housing into his 120Y, then when he wrote that off he put it into the 1200 coupe he replaced it with. If the 9 inch was already in a 1200, it SHOULD then fit. If the distances are different, you could take the spring perches off the 9 inch & reweld them at the correct distance. The 120Y should have more room in the rear wheel arches as well, so you could get some bigger rubber under there.
Is it a sedan or a coupe?

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.

it will fit, just have to remove the spacer rubber things that go on either side of the leaves in the 120y...and then use a smaller bolt to hold the leaves together
nothing major
