guys and gals need some info on what people are using for their 1200's with a ca18det convo...

the intercooler i am running fills most of the front grill section so i guess the stock ca radiator is not getting full flow and as space is tight i only have one thermo, which comes on at 72 degs. the car overheats really quick. travelling at 100 kph it will still over heat in about twenty minutes..something is wrong

now granted i am running a much larger turbo and it is trying to make more power, i had a silvia years ago with big turbo on a ca and the intercooler cover 90% of the front of the radiator yet it never overheated once in 20000 kays and i flogged that thing.

i am removing the radiator and checking if it is blocked but i think i should just go a bigger core or something....this is where you guys help...thoughts

thanks from an overheated rupert

Do you still run the windage tray under the car. It does infuence the temp.

The sump deflector thing creates an area of low pressure behind the radiator which facilitates greater air flow through the radiator.
