ok, im having a few probs going on. i have a 1200 ute, going to put a ca18 in it, have to upgrade suspension.
i have been told that:
180b struts fit? - have to change lower control arm etc?
200b struts fit?
will a r31 skyline strut bolt in? (or with very minor modifacation)
my diff is goin to be r31 so im going to use r31 front brakes aswell. if the 31 strut doesnt fit is it easy to swap r31 brakes on 200b, 180b or other strut that fits?

any help advice or guidence much appreciated.

ben.

you can use stanza struts but you have to slightly modify it and im pretty sure it gives you 1 deg neg camber

Check under Wiki on the main menu.

Stanza setup has been debated on here before and it is what I run, plus I feel the larger stub axle is better for brake upgrade options.

Stanza struts will bolt straight in with the stanza lower control arms. On the support rod (use 1200) you need to grind it out slightly to clear one of the bolts on the lower control arm where the ball joint bolts on. Use the standard steering arms and it all fits.

Adjustable camber tops would be an advantage and this is my next step and should give you about a 3 degree adjustment. But will almost correct the camber issue.

have had suuny fronts, 120y and std 1200 coupe disks on various cars, currently on sedan have had stanza and 20b.

I would go 200b as shorter tube than staza but either of these options on the stanza or later ute model lcas will give you 1 deg pos camber in most situations as well as 25mm wider front track.

The camber tops you will use will even out your cambe to 0 of possibley neg 1 or 0.5 ,

Might be better to look at 120y set up with sr silvia series callipers and rotors, no real increase in front track and better stopping power.

Or talk to pigdog about r32 gtr brake set up on fronts, but neiter of these are easy, need to make custom brakets if you can, not off the shelf kind of stuff

i got coil overs with big brakes yet to fit to car but moral of the story dont cheap out on brakes ca18det's go quick

280zx Brake's a saposed to be the go in the US, Has to be "280zx" not 280z, or 300zx. I just recently got a set of struts, there allso sed to lower the front slightly. and there made to pull up a car that way's over a tone with a 2.8ltr Turbo motor, so shuld pull up any 1200 pritty well, But I need to get some 14"wheel's befor I can fit mine.
