Can anyone help to clarify, i have a complete gx1200
it has the light forged steel crank.
The one with the thinner straight
sided counterweights
that also have small scollops out of
them. Is this GX only or some other
datsun performance part???-ta

A12GX engine uses the same crankshaft as other 1200s. The short-block is identical except for the cam and the breather tube. See Crankshaft

A12GX even use stock pistons. Either the 1200 slight-dish, or the KB10 flattops.

To know the value, we'd need to know why it is different from a typical crankshaft (which we don't know). Perhaps it is the Competition Crankshaft meaning it is worth more, or perhaps it is a light-duty crankshaft meaning it is worth less.

I think I know the crank you're referring to and they look much nicer than the norm. I understand they're lighter. Was on here not to long ago.

I've got two GX120Y engines and neither has this crank. Ditto B310 A12. Someone also said they had seen A14 cranks like this but the one I've got is the plainer design.

My thoughts are that it's from early 1200? Or maybe early 1200GX? I've only ever seen one in the metal but origin is unknown.

Here is link to prev post. Crank Link
