Hey, my injector boots in my datsun are almost completely worn away. It's the rubber boot at the bottom of the injector where it goes into the cylinder.
Is it easy to replace them? What would happen if i tried to drive the thing?
Maybe no compression?
Strange how such a little bit of rubber can withstand heat from the engine.

The rubber o-rings cost hardly anything from nissan.

I think the part number is 16603F (larger looking ones are 16603G) on same s13 parts diagram under Nissan FAST.

They are called Insulator-Injector

I would recommend taking the old ones to Nissan parts department and seeing if they have some. I believe this part number is shared by later model cars also.

Cheers,
Chris

Thanks for the help. Actually it's not only the rubber o-ring it's also the complete housing for the injector! i don't know how they perished, but the injector just dangles with nothing at the bottom to hold it. justin
