One of my friends has a fantastic looking old Datsun ute in his paddock... but I'm not sure what it is... and neither is he. It's probably a 76 or 77 model, possibly a 1200, ute, collumn shift, white, brownish seats, large tray, V8 or V6. What Datsun is it???

being a column shift it would not be a 1200. And a V6/V8 it would not be a 1000(dont fit).
Maybe a 610 ute or whatever they are. Google datsun ute or somthing and tell us what you find

there were a couple of utes available then
Could be a 1200 could be a 520/620 to early for a navara or 720 could be a homer.
more details or a pic would be good
after reading the post, i dont think anything came witha v6 or v8, so its likly an engine swap.

Thanks. I think I got the motor wrong- and sorry, the car's 300 miles away at the moment- not enough time to pop down tonight. ;)

(Sorry for Double Posting) I found out some more info. It is not a Homer, it is a V6, it's only a two door, it's defiantly 70's, (5 gears, MAYBE), Body white with blue stripe, NOT diesel, no clock, radio with tape player (<-- Useless info), odd ashtray thing on Dashboard (round 'door' with Datsun printed on it. Pictures below.

It sounds like old mate might have shoved a V6 into it at some stage.
