First off i would like to blame the police and their blatened lack of automotive styling for my latest rant/questions.

Just about home from picking up some new tyres from KUE1000 and a marked police car appeared behind me. No worries ill just putt along and be a good driver. Turned into my suburb (after going the back way to attempt to shake him a little) and on come the lights YAY! Then he started having a winge that the tyres stick out the guards! Didnt care the front tyres where bald, just that they stuck out the guards about 1/2inch! He said under full susp travel they will hit the guards I tried explaining that i built the car from the ground up and i know better then letting a wheel crumple a 40yr old rust free guard! He wouldnt buy it. Then he went off and radioed his little friends and came back. Said if he had the defect book or any of his partners where neer by he would defect it. Same goes if he ever sees the car again! So i got off this time!

So what can i do?

-I am DEFINATLY NOT getting rid of the Watanabes!
-I dont really want to put flares on it, esp the front.
-Does anybody have a pair of 13x6 wats with a 0 offset or simmiler who wants to swap for some 13x7s?
-I cant run a different offset because they just about hit the ball joints atm!(+12 offset with 10mm spacers)

What can i do? This is ment to be my daily now!

i've come up with half a solution, you could package the wheels upand send them to me they'd look lurvly on the race track !!

.... good luck with getting it sorted cheap and easy and keeping the look

yeah i had the same problem trying to get my car registered in act, the fronts were to far out. what if you got some adjustable strut tops and gave her a few degrees of neg camber to just bring the top in a bit plus look even tougher.

maybe some adjustable top a arms then to bring the top in and get the neg camber needed to make it legal.

or just a heap of "shims" in the top arms and a new set of longer tensile bolts !! plus some narrower tyres ... stretched look with heaps of camber !!! very Japanesy !!

Hmm camber may be a option. The rims stick out too, The tyres are already inside the rim. I got new 185s not 175s because of price and im a bit tight atm.

I think what ill do is just drive it and risk it. I mean its not gonna be hard to get over the pits with a set of stockies on.

Cheers for the input guys!
