To be honest, I am more than just a little bit sick of hearing the term GX being thrown around. Point and case here. I may be wrong, It may very well be an A14Gx motor but the head looks a little bit on the standard size to me.

I'm not taking the piss on old mate trying to sell his product as he was probably told this or that by someone else, but the bullsh1t all starts somewhere!

Once again I'm probably jumping the gun and shooting my mouth off for no reason??

get a close up pic of the top of the head no cast numbers means gx. there was the a14t an a14 with twin hitachis double valve springs etc

yes im with revhead, check these.
they are supposedly 'genuine gx guards'
the term gx is indeed bandied about too much.especially ebay.
wierd seeing as though they came off a ute!

Who the hell cares if they are gx gaurds or not.
It sucks when people call a head a gx version when its just an oval port a15/14 because they have only ever seen a12 heads

I was under the impression that some a12 gx heads had casting numbers? I may be wrong, heck 99% of the time I am

The majority of time you are dealing with some one selling "genuine gx bits" you know you have the upper hand,as you are aware that they don't know what they are selling...and you do!

Genuine heads have cast on the top NISSAN and thats it!

Ok I will jump on the bandwagon aswell, I dont like the term " GX Bonnet" The bonnet is better referred to as the "facelift" bonnet as it was offerred on GX and GL models from mid to late 73.

stepping off bandwagon now.
