was out having a look at the local wrecker, they've got a 1980 Datsun 200b with the disc brake setup (stub, hub, caliper, lines etc;). Was just wondering if this would bolt straight up to my 1200 ute along with the front swaybar? My utes a 1980 1200 with the drum brakes up front.

if you get stanza or sunny steering arms and balljoints and fit them to your ute, and then weld 1200 sized spring perches onto the 200b struts and use the 1200 strut tops and top spring mounts then the 200b struts will bolt in

sway bar is too wide to work in a 1200 though

shpuld swap onto the 1980 ball joints as bolt in replacement but you WILL HAVE TO cut of the bottom spring pearches and fit the ones from your 1200 drum struts as the 200b pearches and springs wont fit in the car.

Not major. Im running stanza struts but had 200 b struts with this previously. Another member is using them now and happy with them.

No it wont bolt straight up you need to make a few mods. PM PIGDOG Or WhiteSedan they can help amongst others.

dont late model utes such as 1980 have the upgraded ball joints that take the stanza 200b strut?

Im now using ute ball joints with my 200b struts.

Bugger all neg camber now but my weird wobble has gone and ive dailed out almost all of the toe in to neutral almost. Slight toe in. Its amazing what can be done with chalk and a piece of stirng

yeah they already have all the bigger front end stuff...but thought id add that you need the stanza balljoints so that you dont have positive camber
