Hi Guys

Look this page

http://wiki.datsun1200.com/index.php/Performance

There is A12GX engine that has (83 HP) in 1972, and A12 GX engine that has come with (63 HP) later Model of 1974, will this be possible ? if so what would be the reason ? Is this info true ?

Thanks
Regards
Sumith

Almost certainly emissions related, if you get the chance to compare valve sizes, you'll probably find they are smaller in the later model engine.

This is certainly the case with the Small Block 350 Chevs. The first unleaded ones were bad from what I recall my old man saying.

Sumith, remember that 1974 is a B210 engine. B210 "GX" does *not* mean a twin-carb engine.

This is probably a single carb engine. Instead of 69 HP it is down to 63 due to emission control.

The B210 A12T engine found in *some* B210 GX cars -- I expect it would have close to 83 PS, same as the the A12GX engine.
