no firewall cutting needed all is piss easy take the old j15 out and the L series in...from memory you may need to modify the engine mounts is all

hey, how do you find your motor goes, my j15 is really tired and crap with oil leaks and the norm. and the l18 i found is in tip top shape . is this a good choice to drop into my ute. i have only recently made the move from v8's to my ute and dont have alot of knowledge. Also i am in perth just wondering if there was any clubs/crusie's here?

you should check the garage runs in the meetings part of the forums, the L18's are good and great for modding, mine is an L20b stroked and hotted and goes really well. When i got it it had an L18 and it was very tired....running 20psi in every piston but still ran!
