We plan to put a ute diff in 1200 coupe Running a stanza 4 speed and L16. Q: What would be the best standard (Not LSD) centre to use ratio wise ? For round town cruising and the odd 100 K trip to see me Son and go hassle Pepper HA HA. Yes we need a modded tail shaft Such as life Wo is Me.

4.1 would be best

4.9 really need an overdrive 5 speed

3.9 your just missing out on acceleration... benefit being if you sit on 100km/h a lot it sits at lower revs

all depends on wheel size etc, but assuming your not going too far away from normal (13s with 70 profile, 14s with 60 profile or 15s with 40 profile roughly speaking)

{edit}
ratios between 4.1 and 4.9 too hard to get your hand on unless your lucky

4.11 diff Is the standard ute diff,

Blue bird centres fit into the ute housing as long as they are the 8-bolt (H165)

3.9 would be the most highway friendly,
4.11 would be good just around town

I reakon stick with the 4.11
