Located a few Datsun related photos after scouring numerous packing boxes. Still haven't located the best pics but here are few that might interest some members. Apologies for the 1000 pic but it was one of my favourite cars!

Photo is circa 1985 and car is being driven by my father in this pic (I actually thought it was me until I saw the pic enlarged - I should have known better, he is driving a better line than I would be!). I have more pics of this car showing me overtaking the field (of mainly cortinas and toranas) after starting from rear, in the length of the first straight. Desperately trying to find those pics.

Heres one of the car I refer to as Number One, it is my first 1200 coupe and was purchased after I destroyed the 1000 after ploughing it into the pit wall at about 50mph. That was the last time my father let me drive his cars, hence the "gently rolled shell" that became my first.

You destroyed the 1000?!?! It was a two door too!!

Nah, nice old pictures. Those wide rims are cool. So they came off a Corolla?

Jump ahead ten years to 1995 and I bought coupes (number 2,3and 4) for the princely sum of $500. for the lot.

No. 2 (I seemed destined to always have at least one this colour)

No.3 - cant believe I threw this in the tip after stripping it.

No.4 this one was RUSTY.

The three were combined to produce this (apologies to the late great Possum Bourne for stealing the paint-scheme):

I still have those widened rims! They are 13". The rims on the 1000 were thirteens on the back, twelve on d/side front and widened 10 inch mini rim on offside front (I know it sounds odd, but it made it handle alot better (most tracks were predominately ant-clockwise) with two twelves on the front it always wanted to swap ends!

Keith Callinen ran the ex-Peter Brock Round Australia Rally VR on the same track as a member of our club and I managed to beat his time when we ran the track in reverse (clockwise) direction - but he will never admit it!!

jump ahead to 2000 and I bought this car (an auto with a blown motor) for $200 and swapped all the running gear from the Rally car into it. I then ended up selling it (with the old shell-which was pretty stuffed by then with alot of cracks appearing ) to a mate from Toowoomba for $1200. He then painted it purple and had it trimmed with white trim.
