congrats, newest 1000 owner

id like to congratulate one of our 1200 ute drivers for his new purchase and upgrade to a 1000 wagon... great stuff, cant wait to see it and go for a spin once its regoed.

It was reffered to as a grubby white and rough wagon... not so, was just the dust from sitting in the shed.

Was that the one from komdotkom?

A15 weber, extractors, 5 speed, disc brakes etc etc.

Nice.

That really was a bargain.

Everyone always whinges that Adelaide has the best 1000's but I reckon Vic has most of them.

That was a good setup, especially when you consider the running gear etc.

So who got it?

aye I missed this post!
Thanks Unfi, You know youre to thank/blame for pointing it out after making the offhanded comment that the only thing that could take me away from the ute was a 1k wagon.

The 5 speed was a close ratio so I let him keep it and got the rest of it cheaper. Just spent the last couple of days going through it and the swag of parts that came with it (organising in piles of need, dont need and wtf is this for?)...still had the original nissan shifter and tool pouch/ service book in the back!

The utes not happy about it though, just spent the last 2 hours on Sydney road because it threw another of its inexplicable suspected electrical tantrums like yesterdays at Vicroads...It Knows!!!

More setbacks too, after organising 2 week temp rego, i ring my RWC guy who had forgot to inform me hes on holidays for...yup you guessed it 2 weeks!

Funny thing is though, Im still grinning like an idiot looking at it:

Ah well guess Ill just have to tinker with it until then,...not hard to do :)

69 or later model by the looks of those indicators
just a sugestion ditch those hotwires and get some oldskool jdm 13's or 14's with a bit of stretched rubber will look great along with a lower till the wheels are just in the guards lower the front end by shaving some of the rubber bump stops at the front

x2 those hotwires detract the beauty that it is.

My friend pulled out from buying this car as he is so
picky he wanted a good interior and other perfect bits.
At least someone who appreciates dattos has it and will
enjoy its minimalist lines.
Welcome to the 1k club!!

Yup its a 69

Cheers sx510 and D, Jeez thats one picky friend you have D! true that the front seats are trashed apart from that all it needed was a good clean :) Its a 40 year old car, for its price im amazed at the condition its in!

Was thinking about either some Cobra Classic type seats for replacement or just renovating the originals. Anyone got any other (cheaper) suggestions? For now (and roadworthy) $20 covers from Kmart have done wonders ;)

The Hotwires are staying for the time being because after riding on TRX rims in the ute, theyre like Watanabes to me(until I get the real thing)
