if the car has been standing for sometime then stuff does block the breath holes for the cars... but just checking your fuel line and like cleaning and replacing whatever you can... i rememberd when mine didn`t wana start it was a number of things.. but if it hasbeen running and its doing that out of the blue, then i assume its your fuel pump i`l think about it 2moro

Check the fuel bowl. On the Datsun 1200 engine, the carburetor has a sight glass. The fuel should come up to the halfway mark on the glass:

Fuel visible: You don't have a fuel pump or fuel line problem.

Fuel not visible. Check the fuel pump and lines. Can you blow air back through the line? If so it is OK. Maybe the fuel filter is blocked or fuel pump is bad.
