From todays racing, Datsun won the Marque challange coming in 2 seconds a lap faster than the 911, 3 seconds faster than the Alfa 1750 and a whopping 7 seconds faster than an RX7, shes now reving clean to 8500rpm though having a few niggles on hard cornering due to fuel supply...

In full street trim with only a worked engine and rebuilt stock suspension on street tires (true marque car) shes only 4-5 seconds slower than the current regional saloon cars... of which running full slicks on this track is good for about 3-4 seconds.

Datsun still amazes me ever time I race it.

With your fuel surge probs, run your swirl tank in the engine bay on the left side of the engine as you look at it from the front. You'll find this will eliminate your surge problems.

I'm very jelous hearing that. It sounds great! I think I might have some old video footage of my a series 1200 sedan at phillip island. It sounds the same. They sertenly turn heads when going past doing 100mph @ 8500rpm passing a porsche & accelerating away from them. I'm very envious

Ha ha, thats why I take the last corner on the inside so i can get her straight and put the power down earlier other wise I just spin up the inside wheel.

I have the Borg Warner diff as standard on my 1200 and there are no LS's available, having Phantom Grip build one for me as a one off, funny enough for such a simple consept they work remarkably well and dont wear the diff out (ran them in a few other FWD cars ive build previously)

Yes, sounds insanely great. What kind of extractor/header and muffler do you have? Or sounds like no muffler, just a straight-thru fibreglassed pack muffler?

Its got a 4-1 header, nothing great, actualy needs to be re-done better and a 52mm 304 stainless system (dairy grade) with a glass pack and a 300X200 straight threw center in side out silencer before the rear axel,, 52mm right to the back with a small 30degree turn down. On light throttle its actualy quiet but man it makes a big noise when im on the loud pedal, but its good like that, it lets people know they about to get passed ha ha
