Hi Guys

i have confused with this by looking a ID plate, is the A12S and A12A same engine or different engines ?

A12s is an ordinary A12 with polution gear A12A Has a slightly larger capasity, dont remember if its stroke or bore? but I think it's a longer stroke

Actually, same stroke: A12, A13, A12A have same the same crankshaft.

A12A has 75mm bore. A12 has 73mm bore. So the pistons are bigger.

A12S is not emission, but 'S' is the newer Nissan designation for Single carburetor engine.

So DD is that all A's with a mid distributor and the mounts further back on the block?

All single carb a-series are "S" engines (Single carb).

I remember once ddgonzal told me i have got forged pistons, i feel mine also same version like this , is this modification from the manufacturer or after market ?
