I am restoring a 1200 coupe and am going to stick with the wheels that came on it an just restore them. I am not too fond of chrome so I am toying with different color schemes. I came up with this very quick in photoshop and just wanted some feedback. (on the idea for the wheels not my crappy photoshop work) The idea is gold lips with black centers and this is as close as I could get.

There is a good reason why you rarely see gold rims. Even though thatappears to look ok in photoshop. The real look might end up looking a bit to chinese-y.
I think sticking with the xu1 style colour scheme on the wheels is a good idea.

doesnt float my boat.. sorry, gold wheels do look alittle tacky. even tho im not all that fond of chrome either, you could pull them off well in chrome if there good offset's, aslong as you give it more low!!!
