Clutch Throwout Bearing Query

Hi all
Do both 4 and 5 speed 60 series gearboxes use the same throwout bearing?
The box is behind an A12 if that is of any relevance.

yes the bearings are the same,
some early A12's have the smaller diameter ones, and A10 ones are small..

yes,, the length of the bearing carrier varies between 56 and 60 but bearing is the same

I'm not convinced.

Same year 56 and 60 boxes use the same carrier. I think the difference is early engine vs older. They added a 3 mil engine plate at some point, and the carrier is 3 mm different. Datsun 1200 engines don't have a plated bolted to the rear of the engine.

Perhaps if you have the wrong carrier, just remove or add the engine plate to compensate?
