taking them out of a newer car is not always smart

cars with airbags have seatbelts which are designed to allow you to go forward into said airbag

when people buy new are they buying retractables or fixed?, i think it's only difficult to fit retractables to a coupe

i fitted retractables to my ute pretty much as soon as i got it ... you can get retractables with just a 3 point fastening setup to replace the standard belts.

Only thing is retractables have to be engineered by law as there not standard issue in a 1200. Get some out of a slightly newer datto say 200b rear ones. We have many different seat belts here, Could possibly rustle up an unfraid matching front pair i reckon.
