It's as easy as 1,2,3:

1. Obtain an A14 engine
2. Remove A12 engine
3. Fit A14 engine

Regarding engine swaps, it doesn't get any easier than this. If you had a pre-1974 1200 it would be more complicated.

dont all those african "bakkie's" have A14's already?
1995 would be correct in 1999
I saw them using them as paddy wagon there in mombasa, thats where 6 foot is considered short, so it was inhumane to squash the cops into the cab let alone the crims into the cage.

The B140 (1400) bakkie debuted in 1982, and raised roof in 1985.

But if you look at babie's avatar, it appears to be a non-raised roof pickup. These were made in Japan through June of 1994. Also made in Ecuador in the 1990s.

Babie, can you post a picture of the Nissan build tag under the bonnet?

In 1985 with the Raised roof model they also added the 5 speed box.
