hey, just wondering how do i find out what cross member i have in my 1200 ute
and if its the compatatble one for an a15 swap

If the engine mounts sit at approx the same height it is early, if the drivers side mount is approx 50mm higher (staggered) then it is the late type.

my passenger side one is low and drivers side is high,
how do i find out what year model my ute is?

Easiest way to tell: Look at the engine that's in your ute now:
* Mid-dizzy engine: it's compatible with A15 swap
* Front-dizzey engine: it's not compatible

Either way you can make up new mounts, OR swap crossmembers. All 1200 crossmbers can be used with A15, it's just that the newer kind if a straight bolt-in.

Yeah you have a late ute cross member in it old cross member has mounts of equal height as i said anything after 74 is all good.

pepper, i did have a look under the bonnet but i dunno where to look, i looked at the two plates on the firewall and they didnt say anything aboutwhat year as far as i no

if you have 2 pplates you will see on the one on the passenger side will say 4/74 or something like that .
