Hi all

This may seem like a pretty big ask, but I am currently looking for a
sandwhich plate to bolt up with my CA and R30 g-box. Anyone be able to
help me out here?

Cheers

Alex

does your R30 box have a CA bell housing on it?

Doubt it matters we used the same sandwich plate when converting a R30 box back to fit L series from CA and used the same sandwich plate again when converting R30 box to fit SR. So in other words we never touched it just resealed it.

so in other words I can use the sandwhich plate that came from the original R30? I don't need to actually go have one fabricated?

(Assuming you mean the near one inch thick plate between the bellhousing and rear half of box).Exactly all you change to bolt it on a CA is the bellhousing, front cover and front bearing as it will be a different size bearing hence different size front plate bearing seat. So front plate off remove any circlip and washers undo all bolts in bellhousing (i also removed reverse switch, optional really) slide it off then remove bottom bearing with a decent puller(you will see why if you try and slide the CA bellhousing on) then slide the Ca bearing on i got a flat solid piece of timber sat it flush against bearing and gave it a couple of wacks till bearing is flush then got a good size socket to fit over shaft couple more taps to so its on a bit more and slide CA bellhousing on put all circlips washers etc back on put some sealant around front cover and bolt it back on bingo clutch fork etc back on and put it on motor.
