hey guys, im after a a14 or 15 for my coupe. I am in nsw and want to know what a rebuildable engine is worth. also are oval port heads an easy find?? Thanks

In australia they all have oval port heads. In USA most of them have oval port heads.

WOW! wish i could find one here for $50 haha. a guy not to far from me here in aus has a a14, minus head, for $120 that needs rebuilding.

get 'em from the wreckers. You will have to search for one to find them at this price. Not all wreckers are interested in selling them, some don't have any and others don't want to remove them but just sell them for scrap (less work).

Yes, a go-er is worth more than one needing a rebuild. Most places won't sell a rebuilder for $50 either. But I still suggest they can be found.

My A14 goer was 500 complete with 79 model sunny sedan attached (I unattached it with an oxy in some parts) and I bought 2 A15's rebuilders for $50 each attached to a could of SGL Vanettes. Those were the days, you could leave stuff out on the paddock and people wouldn't steal it

They are pretty hard to come by now, A14 out of a FWD pulsar is an option. I got one for about $250, just need to change sump & dipstick I think.

A sound, complete, running A15, complete with its gearbox can fetch as much as $750Aus

Passenger car versions of the A15 have never been common as they were only ever sold in the last of the Sunny Sportwagons here in Australia.
