Just curious if there is any tricks?
wiring is not usually a big deal for myself, i enjoy it

going to get ecu to engine loom, most stuff will plug straight up to motor, but what other inputs does the ECU require other than engine sensors?

inputs:
permanent power/ground
ignition signal
anything from tacho, speedo, gearbox? etc?

outputs:
fuel pump?
thermo fan?

pointing me in the direction of a wiring diagram would prob answer my questions

ok so after having a look through the linked documents i have two concerns

1. speed sensor. is that in a skyline stumpy box? do people typically not connect this up?
2. ambient temp sensor. is anyone using that? where is it/what does it look like?

edit{} i dont see a manifold temp wire so i assume this is what ambient temp sensor refers to

Standard dump is not recommended, just spend the 250 and get a maddat one saves alot of fukin around. As for wiring, good thing is that the a has a engine room harness.. Need power to the ecu, output of ecu to fuel pump relay. Need a start signal to the ecu, that's jut what I can think of off hand oh and like u said constant power and ground ;)

while we're on the topic, does the bellhousing in a manual 1200 really need to be changed? i know people have just 'massaged' the bellhousing to fit the stock ca box, is that legit?

There's a couple of things not in the "EFI Loom", there is also an "Engine Loom" which has knock sensor, oil pressure switch, alternator on it.

You've got the CA18DET engine manual? (The Nissan FSM that is) - I'm sure you do it's all over the net, if not I can hook you up with one I did the OCR text recognition on...makes searching easy.

get one of those $30 stainless dump pipes from ebay or nissan silvia, they kinda fit. nothing a welder cant fix anyway

no ambient temp or manifold temp, only water temp

dont need speed sensor unless running the econometer or speed limiter

only sensors im running are

CAS
AFM
TPS
water temp sender
knock sensor
oxy sensor
