help with leaky A10 carby

hey guys just started up my ute after weeks of not running and now when i start it the engine runs like crap and i can see heaps of fuel in 1 of the barrels in the carby. also it seems to be squirting fuel out the plunger bit on the top of the carby. i gather it needs a reco? its a A12 using a A10 carby

sounds like it needs a good rap. tap it with a hammer right where the fuel inlet is.

Cause is either:
1. Stuck float or fuel inlet needle-valve . A good rap might loosen it
2. Broken float pin or fuel inlet. You can just remove the top to inspect, and replace the part if necessary. No need for a full recondition.
3. Spec of rust/junk in the inlet valve. Remove top, clean valve and put top back on.
