I 1 3\4 is the outlet size of the A14\15 manifold. I ran that size and with a pretty punchy cam and 32\36 weber and I'd say it was probly making about 85-90hp tops considering the condition of the engine at the time. When I finish with the rebuild (which should be early next week) I'll be looking for 100hp and if I don't find it I'm gonna throw some angry marks on the nearest drag strip....then again I'll throw some patches on said drag strip if I do make that:P

I'll write up the specs later when I have it running.

I'd say 85 HP at the flywheel. The stock A14 head won't flow 100HP.

Yes, for 100HP get an H89 head, have it professionally ported, fit with aftermarket valves springs, install a high RPM camshaft, use 40mm carburetors and a 2" exhaust system from head to tail.
So maybe $4000.

Or you could swap in a good used L20B four cylinder, for $400 and a case of VB for your friends who do all the work.

Yes, that's another great way to get 100HP through the A-series cylinder head: Forced Induction. It can even be less expensive than the high-RPM naturally aspirated method, depending on how you do it or what kind of deals you can make.
