i have been trying to put the head back on, but the front right head bolt hole seems too shallow, by maybe 3-5 mm. why?all the bolts (except the long one on the left) are
the same length. could there have been 2 washers on this bolt? could the thread on the block be stuffed?
I measured the depth of all holes with a screw driver, and most were the same, except for the front right one. i dunno.

Help, i need to drive it soon.

Linc,
How you been?
I have had this happen when the hole still had some oil in the bottom of it. the oil essentially vapour locked and stopped the head bolt tighening down.
Hope this helps

hey paul - long time no see! how are u? i have moved back down to sydney and have been getting on with life after G fever.
I think that the vapour lock thingy may have been the problem - because i put a bit of wd40 in the hole the first time cos the thread looked dry - the second time i got all
the excess liquid out, and it tightened up.

Hows Bec doing?

Linc.
