I've got a few loose harnesses that are laying around. I can't seem to find what they go to. There's nothing around the area of the harness that's unhooked. Any ideas as to what these may be?

First is under the dash drivers side near the fuse box.

Second is under the hood near the battery. It looks similar to the alternator signal wire, but it's not.

The one under the hood is a fairly common one, is used for water pumps, thermo fans, signal wires, etc... Dont really have any advice on the under-dash one sorry

Well, I know where to start on the under the hood one. As far as the under dash one, everything critical seems to be working so I'm not too concerned at the moment.

I just figured it has to be done some time :P

the connection under the hood might be a condencer for radio noise, the one under the dash is most likely the interlock unit, it's to check if your getting a good connection to certain items of the car such as seat switch, seltbelt switch, neutral switch (for an automatic transmission) & warning buzzer.

Well that would make plenty of sense. Since under dash one only has about 4 wires to it. Only thing is, theres nothing to hook it up to. hmmmmmmmmmm...

This is why you hate the guy that takes all 'unnecessary stuff' off his car, then sells it to somebody else.

Yeah, the previous owner totally screwed it up. The interior is trashed, AC compressor is wide open and most likely dead by now, dash is town up and half the dash assembly is missing etc. My sway bar is also bent up on the front end. I cringe at the thought of of what that guy did to the car before he sold it to me.
